Not Dancing in the Aisles

like Kevin Bacon in Footloose, BUT Charlie's A1c came back at 8.2.

An 8.2 is the best we've ever had since being in the diabetes business and it comes after a 9.6 three months ago. Like I said, I'm not loose, footloose and I haven't kicked off my Sunday shoes, but it finally feels like we're heading in the right direction.

Going to see Neil and the boys tonight (Crowded House). My favorite. Can't wait! A rare night out with the Mrs. - seeing a band we mutually love so much.

Have a great weekend.

Awesome!!! That's a terrific step in the right direction. :) And you'll keep the momentum. Don't dream it's over.

Soon you'll be doing the same Happy Dance I've done (ala K. Bacon). That is still an awesome a1c for a kid Charlie's age.

I hope you had a great time at the concert (what day is it today, anyway?).

Good job you guys. Go and enjoy your night. Great number, great band.
I passed out at one of thier concerts then got clocked in the nose by a chick later that night. not one of my best performances.

Y'know, I've been hearing that song on the radio for a few weeks now and I kept saying "Who IS that, I know that voice." It never clicked that it was Crowded House. I thought they were done. I love them. Do you know The Beautiful South? Some of the Crowded House crowd was in that group too - also excellent music.

Congrats on the a1c. Great job.

Congratulations, that's a wonderful improvement. I don't know how you manage it, especially when Mr. Sad Hand gets in the way. :-)

Do the best you can and if Charlie's numbers aren't great don't be too hard on yourself.

I totally missed this when it was posted! But that doesn't stop me being jealous that you saw Crowded House. Apparently they're doing a concert back home soon too - I'm just happy they're still making music when we all thought it was over!

That is a brilliant a1c drop - well done to you all! Lots of hard work I know, but worth it for that result. As mentioned earlier, that really is a good result for a kid. Congrats :)
